Panasonic continues ground-breaking year of firsts at IBC

2019 has been a year of firsts for Panasonic in the broadcasting industry and the trend is set to continue at IBC.

Panasonic will be demonstrating its latest solutions for Live IP and remote production. This will include an innovative new IT/IP-centric production switcher, its 4K system camera line-up, the CineLive solution, which allows use of the Super35mm VariCam LT for multicamera productions, and a full integration of its robotic cameras, dolly and rail systems, and switchers.

Sporting firsts

France Télévisions recently utilised Panasonic 4k camera systems at the French Open at Roland Garros for the first time to deliver simultaneous production in HDR and SDR from the camera with both HLG and BT.2020 colour space support.

Panasonic cameras were also used to broadcast the UEFA Champions League Final in Madrid to 400 million viewers. This included a ‘skycam’ suspended above the pitch, the “beauty shots”, including those from a helicopter, and stadium tunnel shots to capture players walking on and off the pitch.

10 years and number 1

And during the 10th anniversary of the Panasonic PTZ camera range, Futuresource recognised the products as the global market share leader. The latest camera in the range, the new AW-UE4, will also be available to see at IBC. The compact design and high quality feature set makes the camera well suited for application in small classrooms, meeting rooms and live events.
